Resident Artist at Meadowside Primary
Resident Artist at Meadowside Primary
We were very lucky having the artist, Colin Slater, back in school recently. Last year he created Meadowside’s own version of the Sistine Chapel. The pupils and staff were all very excited about this project and really enjoyed the school assembly by Colin explaining the content of his mural.
The art work illustrates a passage through time incorporating our theme of meadows and landscapes. The mural also includes a focus on local artists from Kettering, Alfred East, Thomas Cooper Gotch, Walter Bonner Gash.
This time, Colin is back to put our library on the map. We have a library to be proud of with his amazing paintings of lovable and memorable story characters. Look out for the War Horse, Stick man, Iron Man and of course the Owl Babies. Thank you Colin. We can’t wait for the next project.
Have a look at our before and after library video.

It's times like these you give and give again
It's times like these you learn to love again
It's times like these time and time again”
